Alison is the only person in history to win all three road discipline National Championships in one year (2014). These three national championships go along with 2 previous national championships (Time Trial 2008, Team Pursuit 2008), 2 National Racing Calendar titles, and a 2nd place at the Leadville 100 mountain bike race (2013, 7:26hrs). Alison ended her road racing career in 2014 with UnitedHealthcare.
Alison is owner and head coach of ALP Cycles Coaching, and has been coaching cyclists for 10 years. She brings an unparalleled knowledge and skill base to cycling and bike racing. After 7 years on the US Ski Team as a downhill ski racer, Alison raced bikes professionally for 8 years both nationally and internationally. She is a USA Cycling Level 2 certified coach, has a TrainingPeaks Level 1 certification, and is certified as both a Road and Cyclocross racing coach from USA Cycling.
Alison has created a women's race team—ALP Cycles Racing. 30 women strong with 4 coaches, ALP Cycles Racing hopes to change the way local race teams race and train, by providing coached training rides and coached team races.
Jennifer Sharp, a former competitive boxer, traded her gloves in for two wheels in 2005 and immediately found success on both the road and track. She has competed internationally on the track and was a tandem pilot for the USA Paralympic team, representing the country at multiple international events. A Pacific Northwest native, she moved to Colorado in 2011 and loves riding in the sunshine and along the Front Range with her husband Benjamin. Sharp is a full-time USA Cycling Level 1 certified coach, TrainingPeaks Level 1 certified, holds a Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification in Exercise Nutrition and is in the process of getting her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training.
Jennifer specializes in bringing balance to her athletes lives while they pursue their athletic goals.
Patricia Schwager began racing as a junior in 1998. After racing at the domestic level and completing her Diploma as Pastry Chef, she got her first professional cycling contract in 2006. Patricia raced 10 years on professional level and has a lot of experience racing in the European peloton. She raced for some of the best and biggest teams like: Raleigh-Lifeforce, Cervélo TestTeam, Nederland Bloeit, Faren-Kuota, TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank. Patricia is a 6 time national Swiss champion and has represented her home country, Switzerland, at the World Championships 12 times.
In early 2016, Patricia ended her pro racing career due to a chronic leg injury. She enjoys sharing and passing on her knowledge in her role as an ALP Cycles Coach. Patricia has 2 Diplomas from the Swiss Federal office of Sport as Cycling Coach J&S and Cycling C-Coach J&S. She also has a TrainingPeaks Level 1 certification. Along with coaching, she also works as Logistics Coordinator for Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank.
Patricia specializes in road racing and race tactics.
Brie is originally from Portland, Oregon and comes from a multi-sport background. Alpine ski racing and cross-country running were her early specialties, but cycling has always been #1.
Brie has close to a decade of racing experience, including Cyclocross. She joins us after racing 5 years on UCI international teams TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank and Optum Pro Cycling p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies (currently known as “Rally Cycling”). Throughout her career, she was classified as a General Classification (G.C.) rider with strengths in Individual and Team Time-Trial. Her proudest moments include winning: 2016 North Star Grand Prix, 2014 Tour de Feminin (Czech), 2015 USA Team Time-Trial National Championship and working for Mara Abbott (USA National Team) at the 2013 Giro Rosa.
Brie holds a L3 USA Cycling Coaching license and specializes in: Road racing and tactics and Team Time-Trial (TTT). She is looking forward to passing on her knowledge and assisting her athletes in reaching their full potential.
