All campers enjoyed a big breakfast buffet- prepared by the coaches. At 9:30am we started to our training ride. The first 30min we rode together and then we split the group into 2 groups. The "B" group rode for 2.5 hours and the "A" group added another lap over Gates Pass and back to the condos for a 3h40 of total riding. We worked on pacelines, rotating pacelines, and general group ride basics.
After lunch, it was time for recovery and/or coach-athlete meetings. Before dinner, the coaches had a meeting with the athletes to give feedback about the training ride. The coaches gave tips and input on how to ride in a group, pulling off, how to ride on rolling terrain/ using the gears and cornering/descending skills. After that, the campers went out into town for pizza dinner.
